Hello! This is the personal website of Zixin Hu hosted on GitHub pages!

Zixin Hu is a researcher trying to pursue academic career. Her PhD work focuses on the coarse-grained (CG) model of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) in liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS). Her dream is to establish her biomolecular modelling empire, including DNA/RNA, lipids, membrane proteins, etc. If this ambition comes true, she might appear in any important fields: cancer, Alzheimer, Huntington…Due to her bachelor’s experience in an ion channel lab, she got obssessed with this little beauty and hope can study it some day. On her spare time, she enjoys doing a lot of interesting while useless stuff. She loves watching episodes (How to Get away with a Murder, Criminal Minds etc) and cartoons (Now Frieren is the biggest love!). She is a big fan of organisms. You might find her watching videos of capybara, llama, toucan, koala, pika, owl…or taking photos of plants! She is also quite into handwork, including knotting, wire jewelry, and sewing (though her skill is not good). More hobbies can be found here!

Zixin works till late when the projects are exciting. So it is typical to find her sleeping during work hours. She has vivid and colorful dreams and she is determined to convert them into fanscinating novels. Yes, one of her dreams is to become a writer. Though never write a single word!
